anyway here’s your reminder that lgbt muslims exist and islamophobia shouldnt be tolerated within lgbt communities!
shout out to lgbt muslims living in places where our identities are still criminalised.

btw i encourage everyone especially non muslim lgbt ppl to reblog this. if you see islamophobia within the community, you should help us instead of telling us our religion is ‘horrible’
hey so im sure many of you have seen the selfie week going around by aFpE.
unfortunately, aFpE is kind of horrible(some explanation here and here and here and many other places on tumblr.) xana and i (and many other lgbt people) were very uncomfortable participating in a selfie thing set up by her and have made one by two people who support the entire community!
so, heres the run down!
JUNE 2ND- gay men!
JUNE 3RD- lesbians!
JUNE 8TH- trans men
JUNE 10TH- trans women!
JUNE 12TH- intersex people!
JUNE 15TH- aroace umbrella! (this includes demi, grey, etc.)
JUNE 19TH- bisexual/biromantic!
JUNE 21ST- pansexual/panromantic!
JUNE 23RD- nonbinary people!
JUNE 25TH- not yet been featured? show your stuff! we’re very sorry abt the limited number of days, that’s why we included this day!
JUNE 27TH- remembrance! this is a day to remember members of our community who are no longer with us. please tag posts carefully.
JUNE 29TH-30TH- these days is to talk about your experience. whether its your coming out story, your experience with being closeted, or how you came/are coming to terms with your identity!
we would very much appreciate your help in spreading this so it can get out to as many people as possible! thanks!!
please boost this!
I think the only problem I have with this is that while aFpE had a day set aside for everyone, this one only has 11-12 days. Which sucks, bc they had a day set specifically for gender fluid people (yay for me!) and so on, but now this kind of feels like “yeah we know there’s more of you out there but we can’t remember them all so here’s a day for all of you that we forget!” I’m sure this wasn’t the intention, but I mean, there’s 30 days in the month. I think there are enough days for all.
Hell, it’d be nice to have a polyamory day too, you know.
I suggest a new schedule:
June 1st: Gay people!!
June 2nd: Lesbian people!!
June 3rd: Bisexual people!!
June 4th: Polysexual people!!
June 6th: Pansexual people!!
June 7th: Aromantic/asexual people (inluding all kinds of aro/ace)!!
June 8th: Homo/bi/hetero/panromantic people!!
June 12th: Intersex people!!
June 13th: Trans women!!
June 14th: Trans men!!
June 17th: Genderfluid people!!
June 18th: Non-binary people!!
June 19th: Demigender people!!
June 20th: Agender people!!
June 23rd: Polyamorous people!!
June 25th: You’re not sure of who you are yet and are still exploring or you’re just utterly confused? Today’s your day to shine!!
June 27th: Today’s the day we remember those who are no longer with us.
June 28th, 29th & 30th: These days are the days we talk about our experience. Whether it’s a coming out story, experience with being closeted or how we came/are coming to terms with our identity!!
Note: being heteroromantic does NOT necessarily mean being heterosexual. If you are a heterosexual human being, we are sorry, let us do our thing.
YO THIS IS FANTASTIC BECAUSE IT’S THE MOST INCLUSIVE CALENDER I’VE SEEN OMG THANK YOU FOR COMING UP WITH THIS SCHEDULE
Yeah tbh lack of lgbt spaces really hurts. I want to meet other lgbt+ people in a situation that is not inherently sexual, alcoholic or online.
If you take out dating, internet, and clubbing, you pretty much eliminate any reason you’d have to segregate anyways. Literally just go out and make friends, and then make more friends, and eventually you’ll meet some that are lgbt+. If you’re in a hurry, start at like Starbucks or something.
Do straight people understand anything
*standing on a table* THERE ANY GAYS IN THIS STARBUCKS?
Today is one of few days I was really excited to log onto tumblr. Ya’ll are beautiful, and for those of you who didn’t post your pictures because you didn’t want to or because you didn’t think you deserved to, ya’ll are beautiful too.
how to tell when an lgbt+ character is written by a straight person:
person a: would you mind straightening the store up?
person b, the lgbt one: [doesn’t make a gay joke]
the other day i got a call from my college bc theyre checking up on last years students and when i got off the phone my mom was like ‘was that the LGBT community?’ as if the whole LGBT community would call me, a simple gay,
The gay agenda is the worlds biggest groupchat
I’m really amused by the argument “You can’t expect straight writers to include LGBT+ characters. They’ve never experienced being LGBT+”
Because like-
1) JK Rowling was never an 11 year old orphaned wizard boy. Tolkien was never an ELF. This is how writing works.
2) I, a bisexual woman, am perfectly capable of writing straight men?
Why are you guys such bad writers?
Like, no, maybe you would struggle to write an accurate and realistic portrayal of a trans teens transitioning, or a gay teens experience with homophobia. But you know you don’t HAVE to go super in depth about those things to include LGBT+ characters AT ALL, right? We are more than the bigotry we endure.
OHHHHH THERE IT IS.
“We are more than the bigotry we endure”
Say that one fucking louder please! Too right on!
